Andreas Martini was born and raised in Germany to a Transylvanian mother and a Romanian father. Just like his father, whom he met first time at the age of 30, he holds a diploma in Architecture & Design but was always occupied creating images with pens, cameras and computers. 
In the process Andreas has developed a distinctive style of his own - almost painterly in quality, using intuition and instinct to craft images that excavate the surreal and sensual from the fabric of daily life. Relying heavily on chiaroscuro and the power of poetry to obscure as well as to reveal, his images are rich in tension and drama.
